A family with 2 DDs of similar ages to ours (10 and 7) moved to our street a few months ago. All 4 girls are glad of the company, and they play together a lot. But these 2 girls are loud and bossy, and seem to dominate my more reserved DDs (who are good girls, mostly!) and get them involved in things I'd like to think they wouldn't do otherwise. Some of the time things are fine, but there have been too many incidents recently and I'm pretty fed up with having to cope with the fallout. Their mum is very nice, but we have quite different approaches to parenting.
I've been trying to teach my DDs to stand up to them and walk away if these girls start something they know is wrong, but so far with not a lot of success.
Any advice?
