Toddler foot measurements

My daughters first pair of shoes were a G width with Clarks

I have remeasured today, as she has gone up a size, but the width measurement is now F

Is it likely I had got an incorrect measurement, either today, or for the first shoes.
Or can the width change like this does anyone know?

I have used the Clark's toddler foot gauge on both occasions.

To be honest I wouldn’t trust your own measurements...I’ve tried doing DS1 several times with the a foot gauge and I’ve got different width and size measurements within 10 secs of each other...he’s just so wriggly. I’ve given up and booked a Clark’s appt for when they’re open

Clark's changes their mind about whether my toddlers are F or G each time they are measured. I just tell them to give them F because I can see it fits better!

I re-measured today and got G! Last nights try was rushed to be fair. I took plenty of time with it today as wanted to get it spot on I know how important it is
