Gp told me my 7 month old probably has eczema and suggested e45, I am using this and sudacreme. She’s still really itchy Sad any suggestions?

Aveeno is good. Also hydracortisone prescribed form GP. Make sure you wash clothes at 60 degrees with products that are kind on sensitive skin.

DS didn’t clear up until the allergy clinic got involved and prescribed some stuff. Might be a good idea to get a referral.

Thank you both! I’ll give that a go.

She was referred to the allergy clinic last year and still hasn’t been seen. I was told it could take a long time Sad

Our 10 month old is the same. Just scratches till he bleeds. It’s heartbreaking and very frustrating.

We have bought scratch sleeves to wear at night that seem to help. Also use hydrocortisone when it’s very bad and antihistamine drops in his bottle. Hope that helps

We use Aveeno (the dark blue range not the standard) and oilatum emollient as well as hydrocortisone from the GP. It's a lot of trial and error with products I find.

You could try a version of wet wrapping. Cream on baby, damp baby gro, dry one on top. Very effective, particularly at night. And get something different to E45, no one prescribes that anymore (usually)

@JKDcot aww bless it’s so miserable. If no change over the weekend I’ll see if I can get some.

@Potterythrowdown thank you! I’ve ordered some bath stuff and wash from oilatum, I’ll have a look for the ointment too

@takemetomars thanks! I’ve never heard of this, I’m doing lots of nappy free time and letting her be generally naked after smothering her in e45 but yes it doesn’t seem to be doing a lot
