Transitioning to 2 naps

LO was having 3 naps a day all fairly short. She’s 9months.

Since last week she wakes at about 6.30, she has a longer nap at 9ish about 1hour 15.

Then next nap about 1/1.30 - this nap is only half an hour though.

She then starts getting tired for next nap at like 4.30/5pm which is too late to nap otherwise bedtime is running into 8.30. ( I go to bed at 8.30 myself as I have PND and serious problems staying asleep).

What should I do? Can I help her make nap 2 longer so she can last til bedtime? I’ve currently just been putting her up for bed at like 5.15/5.30 but it is disturbing her night sleep (she was sleeping through the night).

I don’t really want a late bedtime but also don’t want wakeful nights 😩

Any tips?

How long does she sleep for during the night?

At 9 months my little boy would wake at 6.30ish
Nap 9.30-11ish
Nap 2-3ish
Bedtime at 6.30/7

Is she tired enough at 1/1.30? Could you push it back a bit? They say sleep induces sleep so don’t do this if she’ll be horribly over tired!

If she’s only sleeping for half hour at the second nap she doesn’t sound tired enough for the nap. Try putting her down at 2pm. My DD wakes around 6:30, first nap is at 9:30 and second nap is a 2. She’ll sleep for 90 minutes each nap then bedtime is around 7. She’s almost 11 months old but had this routine since 8 months.

Mine did exactly this. The third nap was in the pushchair, and was 15mins tops.
