Toddler sleep/teeth, help!

Hi there, hoping someone can help!

My DS is almost 15 months and for the last two nights has been wide awake for hours in the night. From 9:30pm-1:15am Sunday night and 12-3am Monday night and I can't figure out why. During this time he mostly throws himself round the bed and wants to play but there are episodes of crying (from tiredness I assume?). When he's awake he won't let me hold/cuddle him until he gets really tired, will have a cuddle and crash out.

Could this be teeth? Or a developmental thing or phase? I'm at a loss.

During the day he's very clingy and whinging and crying a lot and wants to be held. He's eating and drinking but only eating select foods (normally eats everything!) Practically living on a diet of toast, bananas and broccoli as it's all he'll eat. When I try to give him teethers he mostly bats them away.

I tried nurofen last night and he did fall asleep half an hour later but I don't know if that's a coincidence as he'd been awake so long.

He's still having his usual 2 hour nap and going to bed on time.

He only has the top 4 middle teeth and bottom 2 middle. During the brief glances he allows I can see the white shape of his top left canine and I think it looks a little red where his bottom left molar would be but it's such a quick flash I can't be sure.

Does anyone have any advice/insights?

Sorry it's a bit long and rambly 🙈

TIA

Just give nurofen and anbesol liquid tonight and again after the time limit if he wakes. If he goes back to sleep after 20 ish mins then you know it’s his teeth.
