Hey all fellow mums

Genuine question.. if you have nothing to do or are tired would you stay in pj’s and just chill with son?

I do that, and I get grief off my sister for it

Please tell me I’m not the only one 😂

You are not alone - do this all the time

lilsquish · 28/03/2021 16:42

yip, regularly.

im also guilty for keeping the kids (toddlers) in pjs until after lunch to avoid stains and spillages on their good clothes Wink

Kaleidoscopecascade · 28/03/2021 16:42

I always have pj days especially in winter. I even bought some pjs that I can pass of as lounge pants if I need to go outside lol.

My sister says to me “how are you ever gonna look after a dog if you can’t even get yourselves dressed”

I wanted to look after my dog I bought a few years ago, just wanted some time with him for a few hours now and again, but this was the reason given.

Oh yes all the time. My in laws are fairly accustomed to seeing me in my pyjama bottoms now (my excuse is I'm trying to lose baby weight and dont see the point in buying more interim trousers). But really, I just like being comfortable and warm.

MamaOl93 · 28/03/2021 16:48

Love that @Noauthorityhere

I have to get dressed every morning or I feel like I'm off school ill. I'm actually envious of those who can genuinely have a PJ day and feel relaxed! Power to them!

BeesAnkles · 28/03/2021 16:53

All the time! We're homebodies. What's the point in getting dressed to chill at home?

MamaOl93 · 28/03/2021 17:05

@BeesAnkles exactly 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I get made to feel bad about it x

I only just got out of my pjs as I had to go and get petrol. Daughter is still in hers and will be til she changes them after a shower

SingingWaffleDoggy · 28/03/2021 17:07

It’s 5pm and my DD is happily sat in her pyjamas eating cake. She’s got tomato soup for tea so I’m not changing her until she’s finished and had a bath and she’ll be straight into clean pj’s

MamaOl93 · 28/03/2021 17:07

SO glad I’m not the only one! I didn’t think I would be. It’s just nice to get reassurance I’m not a terrible mum like I’m being made out to be 🙄

ParkheadParadise · 28/03/2021 17:10

I'm still in my jammies just now.
If I'm not going out I don't see the point of getting dressed.
Dd has now starting to ask to dress the same as me
Jammies and a Hoodie when we're not going out.😃😃

Thesearmsofmine · 28/03/2021 17:12

When my dc were younger we had a few pj days, usually when exhausted. I don’t really enjoy it though, it makes me feel unproductive and now my dc need to be outside every day so no pj days!

Potterythrowdown · 28/03/2021 17:28

Nope, always dressed unless I'm so ill I'm bedridden. We might be a bit lazy on a weekend but everyone is washed and dressed by lunchtime.

(I do look like a total mess today but knew I wasn't going anywhere or seeing anyone!)

Thatwentbadly · 28/03/2021 17:50

Nope, always washed and dressed. Maybe at Christmas for a one of treat but I would shower and put on clean PJs. I like to get my kids outside to play on most days unless the weather is extreme.

CoalCraft · 28/03/2021 19:00

I feel icky if I stay in my pyjamas past the morning, but then I'm a bit of a sweaty betty.

inmyslippers · 28/03/2021 19:20

I have lounge clothes to change to after a shower. Couldn't put same pjs on. But soon as I get in from work or for the day I'm straight in pjs whatever time of day

BrilliantBetty · 28/03/2021 19:57

No. I'd be embarrassed incase there was a knock on the door / someone popped round.

I have my lazy day not-pyjama bottoms but just as comfy! 'Loungewear' I guess it's called? That I change in to after a quick shower in the morning, if I know it'll be a chilled day at home.

Itsjustaride8w737 · 28/03/2021 19:59

I'm pregnant and can't remember the last tine I wore clothes!

bunnytheegghunter · 28/03/2021 20:23

Yes I nearly always stay in pjs on a Sunday unless we are going out or having visitors(remember those? Shock) in my defence they are clean on when I get up not been slept in but the kids have slept in theirs! We all have baths after tea and fresh pjs ready for bed.

mineofuselessinformation · 28/03/2021 20:32

I got accused of going to see my DM in my pyjama trousers today (clock-changing emergency which meant her oven wouldn't work, oh, and I'm in my fifties)!
I pointed out that they are lounge pants. Grin

SeeYouInAnotherLife · 28/03/2021 21:19

No, I always get washed and dressed. I might put on joggers and a hoody if we’re not doing much but I wouldn’t stay in my PJs. DCs don’t either.
