Doctors check ups

I have an 11mo ds and have never been called to the doctors for a check up. I've read on here they have an 8 month check, a 12 and 24 month one but we've only ever been seen at 8 weeks. Should I be contacting them about this or does not everywhere have these? Thanks!

It would normally be with the health visitor. Might be online these days

Do you mean a review with the health visitor?

DD is 2 and has only been to the doctor when she’s been ill and only seen the practise nurse for vaccinations. We saw the HV team at a local centre for weighing a few times but it was my choice to take her. Then there was a 10/12 month HV check up with a paper form to complete at home and a face to face weigh in and chat.

It’s with the HV. In my area it’s just a 12 and 24 month check. If you google health visitor questionnaire and 12 months and 24 months then you will see the questionnaire they use. At the moment most of them are over the phone.

It's probably no big deal unless you have concerns. But it's probably best to contact your local health visiting team and ask about it.

Ah that makes more sense, thanks everyone. I haven't heard from my HV since 4 weeks old so I doubt we will but I've no concerns so all's good.
Thanks again all!

I’m sure you will. We got a letter with the forms to fill in and a date for an appointment. This was over a year ago so it was in person but it wouldn’t be much different over the phone.

Yes, it's HV, and we've I live pre covid they didn't do anything till 2yr. At around 14 months they sent out a paper questionnaire for 12 month milestones but there's no phone call or appointment. The only one they do is at 2yr, though they aren't doing those due to covid at the mo. I haven't found any of it useful tbh though we've had no concerns so perhaps that's why.
