12 month old screams the house down during nappy change - help!

My LG has started screaming the house down when it's time for a bum change. She never used to do this.

She's always been a little wriggler but nevertheless always let me change her nappy with no problems.

It's almost like in the past 2 weeks she's just decided "I don't like this, I'm going to kick off!"

Please tell me this is a phase?

I've tried assorts of tricks, even given her my phone which she's obsessed with but not allowed during a bum change and even that doesn't keep her still. I'm as fast as I possibly can be. I've tried changing her in front of the tv which used to do the trick but she's not really into watching the tv so that doesn't even work anymore.

I actually dread it when I know I need to change her bum because it's a battle every single time.

Any tips?

Put the TV on. Only another year and she will be potty training so it definitely won’t last forever.

It’s a phase. It will pass. I don’t remember it being a very long phase with either of mine.
You can try with her standing up holding on to the bath if it’s just a wet one.
You can put nappies on soft toys with her to get her more interested.
Pull-ups can be easier to change than nappies.

My DS 12 months is exactly the same. My friends 13 month is also the same. It’s a phase. A phase I wish would end quickly lol. I find giving him his water bottle or the wipes helps to distract him.. he does however like to empty the wipes packet occasionally Hmm.
