Any one use a naughty step??

We have been trying this for a few days with DS. 1st couple of days it was great, he stopped smacking us, no throwing things at us........
now he will come over to me smack me wait for a warning then throw anything he can find (last time was his potty) at me then say "mum i go naughty step." Walk out sit on the naughty step wait for me to come and get him then burst out laughing and hes just too bloody cute so i start laughing....
What can i try now?

Dont laugh be very serious and firm and keep going.

He thinks its a game. Develop a good "cross voice", be very firm and let him know you mean business. Don't laugh, that ruins the whope effect. Keep going, I find it a very good technique
