What is the best bedtime routine for a 3 year old?

I don’t think there is a one size fits all. You just have to make some that suits you both and be consistent with it. We’ve always done bath, books and bed.

I don’t think there’s a best one but more what works for your child; for my 3 year old she has some milk downstairs around 6-6.30 then if she’s having a bath we go up at 6.45 then two stories and a cuddle and light goes off at 7.15. She used to go to bed a little later but when she dropped her nap we brought it forward

It depends on the child. I think at least some form of routine is good but it doesn't have to be strict. I've got four kids and my three younger ones are aged 3 to 7. They have dinner, bath and TV or ipad time. Then between 7 and 8pm they go to bed. My DH settles the youngest and I sit and read to the other two and then leave them to fall asleep. Youngest falls asleep in our bed and I later carry him to his own bed. Trying to get out of this but at the moment he's still in our room so it's difficult.

Dinner at 5.45pm followed by running round the house like a crazy person, bath, milk, stories, teeth, toilet & bed by 7.30pm.

There's usually a tantrum in there at some point but it varies at which stage depending on mood.

Or little one is 2.5 and we do dinner, cuddles watching a bit of telly, bath, pj, teeth, book and bed.
Do what you think fits best your child and stick to it. Also have in mind that you might have to modify it with time, nap drops, potty training...

My 3 year old has dinner about 5, Tv or playing with siblings, bath 6.30, use the toilet then bed at 7
