School run...school closes...school opens...school closes...school opens..
Go to work...come home..attempt sleep... kids wake up for a wee or drink etc etc...wake up...andddd sooo on..

Please leave your 'I am also knackered' comments below and join me in my collapsey-type-exhaustediness.. 😆🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😆

Ps...don't forget to add all manner of everything that makes you knackered !

I'm knackered. I work full time, but I've no cleaner due to lockdown and I'm sooooooo bored with a single weekly shop and always cooking!!!!!!!! And I'm even more tired just thinking how to entertain the kids in the holidays without all day on the screen with breaks to play out a bit in the garden.

Alwaystired4 · 23/03/2021 19:12

@Terryscombover oh the garden!!!! I bought a bubble machine for the garden but it makes a weird noise like an old car and now i hate it 😆😆 my husband bought the kids a trampoline and it takes up the whole tiny garden...if i hear one more spring e-e noise I'll cry 😆😆😆

@Alwaystired4 the trampoline has a gallon of WD40 on it. Maddening!!!!!

Theswitch · 23/03/2021 19:59

I’m 3 days overdue with DS3! Fat and fed up.
DS1 is in reception and DS2 in nursery school so I get a break during the day but I’m shattered.
I am also dreading how tired I’m going to be v v soon when I have a newborn Grin my 2nd didn’t sleep through until he was 3.
Fun times! Only got myself to blame Halo

Peachee · 23/03/2021 20:13

Yes totally with you.. I’m working but felt worse when I wasn’t the days were so long. I have a baby due in Oct and DS - 1 year old doesn’t sleep through and I get him to sleep on our bed.. what will I do with a screeching new born and a little boy who I struggle to get to sleep as it is argh!!!!

Bringallthebiscuits · 23/03/2021 20:41

Yes yes yes... I have a toddler who wakes up one to two times a night for a feed...we tried to sleep train but after a few nights of trying it didn’t work and left us even more exhausted, so back to night feeds again as that’s less tiring.

However... thank god, my eldest’s school is running a holiday club all Easter, so he can go there on my working days :)

SeeYouInAnotherLife · 23/03/2021 20:44

I’m fucking knackered too. I’m already in bed because I get up at 5.15 every weekday.

Single Mum. 2 kids. Full time job. Soooo tired all the time.

appletart99 · 23/03/2021 20:57

I hear you. Am absolutely wrecked. 4 kids including 1yr old twins and working full time hours (over four days admittedly). I have zero energy. Just so want a night off. Would love that so much!! Love the kids but life feels absolutely relentless.

Not sure if lockdown is a bad thing for this or not? Yes I can't access family help (all too far away) but at least we don't have the school parties at the wkend and the clubs and play dates. I am slightly scared I will be even more knackered when that starts up again! What do you reckon?

Sending sleepy dust and nights in a hotel away from kids and chores to all of you Wink

Ellieboolou33 · 23/03/2021 21:19

Here here! I think it should be a legal right that parents (particularly mums) get 4 weeks annual leave from their children 🤣

I've been working from home and can't wait to get back in the office to get a break from my kids!

Vicky1989x · 23/03/2021 21:22

I work 3 days a week, up at 4:30am, travel an hour each way... with a grumpy 10.5 month old who clearly doesn’t enjoy sleep as much as I do!

Kitbiscuit · 23/03/2021 21:36

OP. I'm fucking exhausted!! I haven't returned to work yet, home with a 1 year old. All day, every day. I never knew exhaustion like this and I went though university whilst partying most nights and working part time 😂😂

I can't possibly clean the house! It's a fact. When I'm done, I have to start all over again and some days I really, I mean REALLY can't be arsed. And it's only one child...and a small 3 bed house.

He'll start nursery soon par time but I'm starting to think it's gonna be even more hard work. I mean I'm gonna have to go to work whilst knackered. With a bad hair and in un-ironed clothes!

My mother also said "you don't know what tiredness is" which really PISSSEEEDD ME OFFF 😂😂

Thanks for the thread OP! I'm at least laughing now! X

FruitLoopzz · 23/03/2021 22:13

Everything you wrote OP is what I was thinking today.

I am absolutely DRAINED. The night passes so fast and the day goes so slow. I have two children, one at home and one in school. I work part time 4 days a week and parent the infant. I also do the school runs and the cooking/cleaning.

I find myself skipping meals because I’m too knackered to make myself something decent as too busy prioritising the kids!

I also find myself counting down the hours until bedtime. I feel really really really expired.

WhatsErFace2020 · 24/03/2021 06:27

I don’t doubt you all think your tired - but please spare a though for my husband. On his working days he is SOOOOO tired that he surely can’t be expected to do anything other than go to work. It’s different for me of course - I work from home at the mo and even though I actually do more hours than him It’s just ‘not as tiring’ as his job. This of course means on his working days I do EVERYTHING. But then on his days off I still do 50% of EVERYTHING otherwise I’m being unreasonable as when does he get a break 🤷🏼‍♀️🧐😂

Alwaystired4 · 24/03/2021 08:18

@Twizbe 😆😆😆😆😆😆 need a secret wine cellar!!

crazychemist · 24/03/2021 09:41

Yup, fecking exhausted. Twins going through 4 month sleep regression. 4 year old bored stiff with no play dates/activities. God I’d kill for 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
