Toxic family situation

Single mum to 4yo, father not on scene never has been. I work 2 days a week, my son goes to nursery most of the day but outside of the hours of nursery when I’m still working, my family looks after him.

If I ever disagree with my family or have a different opinion etc, particularly my dad, he says he’s not having him anymore. He’s said this twice this week now. First time he changed his mind but he said it again today and honestly I feel like I just wanna say ok that’s it now,
But I’m trapped and they KNOW it because I have no other options.

When you say you disagree with them, is it on things regarding your son?
Did they offer to look after him in the first place or did you ask?
How was your relationship with them before that?

I think you need to look for alternative childcare - a childminder maybe more flexible.

Try not to fall out with them, you need them.

What would you do if they were too ill to care for him? It’s not a sustainable arrangement.
