Weaning is a struggle

DD is almost 7mo (5 days off). EBF.
I have a DS 8, but everything was so long ago I can't remember.

I'm having a bit of a mare working out how to get her off the titty. Introducing purees and fingerfoods which she largely turns her nose up to. She will nibble on very small bits of croissants/bread but mostly just spits out whatever goes in.

She's a big baby 98th centile in height and weight and is maintaining this by draining the life out of me every two hours ( during the day).

Please give me your wisdom. Hints. Tips. Tricks. Voodoo. I'll take it.

I know it's not what you want to hear but that's largely what happens at the start of weaning. I'm not sure anything went in for DS1 til about 8mo...

Just keep offering and trying different things.

Right at the beginning, mine liked a bit of Ella's porridge with strawberries for breakfast - you can add milk to it and that should reduce some of what she takes off you.

Are you trying to stop breastfeeding and move on to formula? Breastmilk or formula will be her main source of nutrition until at least age one. If you no longer want to BF, you'll need to move her on to formula at this age.

Until then, just offer a variety of foods so she can try them and get used to solids.
