What made you find the courage to have 2 or more DC?

I have a 6m old DD which I love more than anything and am enjoying being a mum, however, I am also finding the whole experience rather hard and tiring. Whilst I don’t want to rush time away and I try and treasure every moment with her, I also think that once we will be back to some sort of “normality” ( sleeping better at night especially) It’s unlikely I’ll think “let’s do it all again”.
I am curious to know what made you want to try for n2 and when did you find the courage?
The other aspect that worries me is the cost of childcare (we are in greater London) and the logistics of being a couple of full time working parents still saving up for a mortgage. Moving in a different region is not an option due to our jobs.

Thanks for sharing your experience :)

We both just always knew we wanted no.2, it was always just a question of when we felt 'ready' and when would work practically (finances and career etc). I know that isn't any help particularly but I would try not to be worrying when your DC is 6 months old this. When our DD was 6m old there is no way in hell we would have wanted to start trying, even though we knew no.2 would almost certainly be something we wanted later down the line. We started trying when DD was over 2 and fell pregnant within a few months, no.2 will be born when she's a little over 3 all things going well.
