How long until tooth erupts?

My 5 month old seems to be suffering with teething and I'm trying it all! Calpol, teething rings in the fridge, bonjela, letting her nurse on me whenever she wants to. (Any other tips welcome) She's normally such a good sleeper but waking up in the night screaming!

How long from teething sign did your baby's teeth start to come through? Just want the pain to stop for her!

DS was dribbly, red faced and chewed everything in sight at 4-5 months. Symptoms faded and first tooth appeared at 8 months. I think a lot of that behaviour is normal for 4/5 month olds regardless of teething.

Mine teethed for a very long time but the first eruption was at 7.5 months.
