My sons bday next week. Sending cake in to nursery.
I either need to send a fully free from cake, or a regular bday cake along with some buns or slices of nut free dairy free cake as theres kids with these allergies.

It must be unopened, shop bought.

Looked at morrisons and found genius choc muffins which are gluten and dairy free. Dont mention may contain nuts but also dont say safe for nut allergies.

Please anyone with a nut allergic child advise me as it must be safe for his friends

Is there a branch of egg free cake box near you? Not sure about milk though.

Regular old cake will generally be nut free dairy free but depends on if your kitchen is. I’d be inclined to send in dairy free chocolates for everyone and not take the risk. (Personally, in 8 years of kids in nursery I’ve never sent in a cake)

It's just that it has to be boxed, shop bought so I cant bake it. Maybe chocolate would work better, they all seem to take cakes in his

Just look in the supermarkets

They all do free from ranges and there is a brand called wicked

Tesco have a couple under the Just Love brand - there’s a chocolate one and a vanilla one that are vegan and specifically state nut free.

Thank you everyone, I tried morrisons with no luck so will go sainsburys to look (they're not big supermarkets in my town) failing that a little drive to the nearest tesco

Asda and Tesco are the best for "free from" although a decent size Sainsbury's should have options too
