Uneven eyelids - Baby

Hi everyone

My little girl is 3 months old and doing great. Over the last month I’ve noticed one of her eyelid creases has an extra fold in the skin. This makes her eyelids and occasionally her eyes look uneven. She does not have ptosis. I’ve had this checked. Her eyelids don’t droop it’s just one has a higher crease than the other. My sister had this problem and it really bothered her cosmetically. I’m wondering if anyone has noticed anything similar in their little ones eyelids and if it’s corrected itself. Seemingly there’s eyelid tape you can buy to even them out but obviously I wouldn’t be using this on a baby.

I do tend to over analyse thing but it’s definitely there as the health visitor agreed there was a difference but said it wasn’t anything to worry about.

I just don’t want it becoming an issue that annoys her as she grows into a young lady.

I’ve got this and it doesn’t bother me, my creases are different and I have two creases on one eye and just one on the other. I’m 25 now; the only thing it really effects is applying my eyeshadow to be symmetrical, if I apply it in what ‘feels’ like the same place they look different so it took a. Bit of time to ‘perfect’ it.

Other than that I don’t actually notice, I’ve never even had comments on it.

Thank you for the reply. It drives my sister crazy she’s even looked into surgery for it. Glad to hear it doesn’t bother you. Can you notice it in pics from when you were a baby. With my sister I’m sure it developed later in life.

Oh goodness that’s an ask! Grin the next time I’m at my mums I’ll try and dig out our baby photos!

Very unusual to have a totally symmetrical face..don’t over analyse it. There’s nothing you can do about it and no point worrying over something that your child won’t even notice . I do know what you mean though I’ve seen it a lot.
