Hi! Just wondering if anyone could tell me how bad the second lot of immunisations are?! 🙈. My little one got a really high fever after the first lot and was really sleepy and under the weather. Are the second lot better because he already ha slight immunity? Or will he likely react the same? Thanks

We just had the second batch yesterday and she got fever this morning, 38 degrees, and very upset. First round was easier but prob cos we were told to give calpol straight after. This time nurse told us not to bother unless she does get a temp and here we are....

I think you'll have different babies react to the immunisation. DD had all 3, first one she was fine for the first few hours but then started to get grizzly, crying and clingy plus smelly nappies cause of the rotavirus vaccine. Was fine after a few days (nappies didn't improve after a week). Second vaccine wasn't too bad, the nappies weren't as bad as the first dose (thank god! Too many blow outs) and she was fine. I didn't give her Calpol before the injections but I was asked about so I don't know if different nurses have different opinions on calpol and the second immunisation? Third immunisation dad took her and we did the usual calpol before and then kept checking her temperature just to be sure but she was fine.

I was expecting a fever and getting myself prepared for it but it never came so I'm quite lucky. Same as you OP I've looked up same experiences but always gonna get a different outcome. Been told the third immunisation was the worst but DD was fine. Hopefully your LO wont be as bad with this one! Good luck! 💐💐

the second jabs are usually not as bad at the first ones because they don't have the meningitis one which is the one that they say gives them a fever, they have their second dose of that on the third lot
