I am looking for some help with my anxiety. My HV recommended olive oil for a bit if dry skin on baby and stupidly I googled afterwards to find that regular use can dry skin. Doctors have said it will have caused no harm but 3 months later she now has a little cradle cap on her face and I am now convinced I caused it. So looking for anyone who has used olive oil with no adverse effects to try and calm my anxiety

Lots of babies get dry skin anyway at around that stage, add in that you've probably been inside a lot with the heating on and it's likely to happen. I'm sure it'll get better soon, try not to worry.

Dry skin is very normal, as is eczema (are you sure it's not that? they are very similar but eczema tends to be more a sore red dry bit). I would use something else like a baby lotion or for eczema, I found a cream called Aquamax was very good.
