Hi all, I have a seven and nine year old and am curious if anyone has a large age gap between kids and how that has worked for you? My husband and I are considering adding another to our family. Thank you!!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yep! Slightly different circumstances because I had two with XH1 and then three in my second marriage, but my elder DC were 12 & 9 when I had my DDs. There’s 14 years between my oldest and youngest.

It’s worked well for us; having a large age gap is good for babysitting! Grin I will say that the older ones probably grew up with a bit more free reign than they’d have had if I didn’t have little ones to concentrate on at the time, but this was never really a problem for me as I think it actually helped them to become more mature and self sufficient.

I did have a LOT less energy for potty training/night feeds etc after I’d had a decade off doing them, but then again I was a lot older!
