Covid vaccine whilst breastfeeding

I was just wondering if anyone had had the Covid Vaccine whilst breastfeeding? I'm 43 so could possibly have the vaccine shortly, but I am breastfeeding so am slightly worried as they have no data. I would really like the vaccine when it becomes available.

A friend of mine did (she vulnerable). This was a good few weeks ago - 6 maybe - and no ill effects thus far. She said when she mentioned it to the nurse who was about to jab her, the nurse went to get a doctor who spoke to her first then he did the jab. He basically made sure she understood that there was no evidence either way so it’s likely not dangerous but equally they can’t prove it’s safe. But I guess until some people do it they won’t get that evidence! Might be worth speaking to your doctor for advice?

I had it last week and I'm breastfeeding. I did a bit of reading online and there don't seem to be any negative effects for the baby, so I was comfortable getting the vaccine. I did have quite bad side effects myself the following day - fever, chills, aches - but they only lasted about 24 hours.

I had mine on Friday. I'm hopeful that any antibodies will pass on to DS through my breast milk. Didn't get any side effects except a sore arm as well.
