My daughter stays with her dad every other weekend and has done since she was 6 months, she’s now 2.
I pack her off with clean clothes to come home with on Monday and trainers as her dad only has wellies and slippers. I’ve noticed in pictures he sends me she’s dressed in clothes way too tight that I recognise from when she was 1 and she’s so grubby! When I get her back on Monday I put her in the tub and she has food encrusted in her legs and her hair is matted.
I pack a tangle teaser and spray every time and it always comes back untouched!
I have offered to pack outfits for the weekend and he says no because they can’t ‘kick about’ in them as they are too nice.. they are just leggings/sweatshirts etc.
She always has a cold I think from being poorly dressed at night e.g just a baby gro but she should be in fleece pyjamas this time of year..
When he drops her back on a Monday he brings her ‘washed’ clothes that she wore on the Friday and they absolutely stink of wet dog so I always re wash..
How do I politely ask him to buy her new clothes and wash her better?! We have a good relationship but he does get really sensitive when I even insinuate that he hasn’t done something right..
