Severe tantrums

It must have been asked a million times...

My 2.5 YO boy has tantrums so frequently, it's almost unmanageable. He screams and screeches almost all day long really. He's always been like it, but it seems to have reached a head.

Every single thing frustrates him.

He started waking in the night and waking early, so I suspect he's tired.

I just don't know what to do with him anymore, nothing seems to work.

I don't know what I'm asking really. For a magic potion Confused. Does it get better?

That must be so hard. It sounds as though he might be overtired.

Have you tried the No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers & Preschoolers?

How's his speech too? I found that mine had more tantrums before they could make themselves fully understood. You might find this progress checker from ICan helpful Thanks

How are things this evening @ohthejoysoftoddler?

Aww thanks for replying.

He was tricky all day, but settles off to bed OK. He still naps for over two hours in the day, we tend to wake him from that, but he woke today on his own.

But realistically the massive/never ending tantrums have been going on longer than the night waking. I attribute that to us have a 4 month old, and so his way of getting our attention.

His speech is pretty good now, good enough to tell me today mid meltdown that he doesn't like me. I used to think it was frustration, but he can tell us what's wrong, he just doesn't. I've been working on trying to get him to calm down and tell me what the problem is, it works sometimes.

Anyone else who looks after him, including MIL, nursery and a nanny all tell me he's not like that with them.

I wondered whether he had some form of ADHD, and I know toddlers tantrum. But this just seems to extreme.

I suppose lockdown has been hard on all of us.
