Naps keep being destroyed by poop!

Weird one here... Very often when my LO goes down for lunchtime nap, I'll leave her for 15m to settle, and if she doesn't I go up to check and sure enough, she's done a poo. This happens even if she's already pooped during lunch. I don't feed her super poopy-food. I'm guessing it happens because she relaxes as she tried to fall asleep and, bang! The nap is destroyed.

My tactic has been to just change nappy, take downstairs again, and try after another 10-15m of play, but achieving the nap is almost always a battle if it has been intially derailed by a poop. We have no idea what to do! Is this something she'll just grow out of? She's fine for morning nap.

Maybe I need to being lunch forward so there's a bigger gap between eating and sleeping? But it seems even if we wait for a poop.to happen, there's often another lurking just round the corner...

Help!

Have you tried baby massage? I'd try it before lunch so you get everything moving ahead of time. After all, it's not her lunch that's coming through that quick, but you can't massage directly after food.
Good luck!

My daughter does this and she’s almost 2 and doesn’t want to nap - we call it a protest poo 😂

Why do you need to get her up again after changing her nappy - can’t you change it and put her straight back down again? What did/do/would you do if she pooed in the night?
