Hi I’ve been called for my jab tomorrow
Anyone had it whilst Brest feeding? The receptionist I spoke to thinks it’s ok but I would love some first hand experience/advice please. Thankyou

Yip!

Check out The Breastfeeding Network advice -also super for other medications whilst breastfeeding.

I had my AZ vaccine on Tuesday. Felt pretty groggy on Wednesday but was still able to feed.

From what I read, there's nothing to worry about as it doesn't transfer into the milk proteins... something like that. Baby only gets your antibodies. It was v reassuring anyway.

I also asked the nurse who stabbed me too. She confirmed breastfeeding was fine.

No first hand experience (though I would jump at the chance even if I was still bf), but my friend has had hers while pregnant and will have the second before she gives birth. I believe the RCM put out a guidance around breastfeeding recently (I'm pretty sure the take home generally was, yes, it's fine).

Yes perfectly fine for breastfeeding mothers.
