bedwetting

Hi,

I'd really appreciate some advice regarding my daughter who is 6. She has been struggling with both faecal incontinence (mainly during the day) and bedwetting at night. We are under the continence team and the bowels are gradually getting better but the bedwetting is getting worse. She is wetting through night nappies/pyjama pants.

We have tried Morrisons size 6 pull ups Aldis size 6 pull ups and washable pants and have just changed to Huggies Drynites 4-7 which I actually think are worse. We had to change the bed ( and nappies) twice last night and that was after a wee before bed and an extra trip to the toilet at 9...

Does anyone have any amazingly absorbent night nappies that they could recommend? We are all pretty tired...

Thanks

Maybe add some Tena pads in the pullups, as they're made for adult incontinence so should be pretty absorbent

I'm sorry for your DD, we went through something very similar.
It looks like she has a big constipation problem, does she been diagnosed with that?
If pull-ups are not enough you need to use regular nappies, the ones with side tabs, much more appropriate for fecal incontinence due better tighter fitting and higher absorbency. Look for adult nappies in extra-small or small size, despite the name "adult" there are very small size fitting young kids, probably you can still find them on amazon, tena or abena ones are quite good. They are less "pretty" than pull-ups but much better for "security" and peace of mind. There are also specific pads without waterproof layer to be added inside the nappy for more absorbency, they are called booster pads.
Say to your DD she is not the only one, I hope all will be over as soon as possible.
