Can anyone recommend any anatomy / how my body works type of books for a 5 year old. My DD has started asking a lot of questions about body parts, how they work and why etc particularly interested in the digestive process.

Big Book of the Body or See Inside Your Body, both by Usborne

I second See inside your body, my DD similar age loves it.

We have the book in the link, I think its aimed at more 8+, but it is accessible to my 5.5 year old. Lots of pictures, flaps to reveal things etc.

My nephew has a big anatomy poster in his room. It's a proper grown up one but he always preferred the realistic pictures to drawings for kids.
See what your kid likes.
I remember being fascinated by the disease pictures in my parents encyclopaedia when I was tiny and I always loved seeing body parts etc. In books 😂... Guess what I studied biology and then medicine.
