Is 4 months old to early to be Teething ?

My baby girl has been drooling more, started sucking her bottom lip and her gum looks a little pale white. I read those are sign of teething? Or it could just be normal baby development? I thought 4 months would be far too early for teething? When do babies start to get their first teeth?

DS2 was teething by 8 weeks - confirmed by the nurse who did his first jabs. DS1 had a tooth through at 4 months.

Nope within the normal range.

Some babies are born with teeth....

@RedMarauder I had no idea some were born with teeth! Wow. I better keep an eye out. Thanks

No - my 3 month old has been drooling with white gums for a while now

No, my 3 month old is definitely teething. DS had two teeth by 4.5mo.

First two teeth at 15 weeks for DD1, 20 weeks for DD2.

Both of mine had teeth by 4 months. Sounds like teething has started for yours.

PinkCookie11 · 22/02/2021 21:48

Nope! DS cut two at 4 month!

Ashton & Parsons teething powder will be your best friend!
