Haggerston Castle or Berwick (Haven)

Hi we are looking at a little UK holiday in August (fingers crossed) we have been to many Haven parks. Some we love and some not so much. I am currently looking at either Haggerston Castle or Berwick. Has anyone been to both or either who can give me a review. We are looking for somewhere with things to do in the area, activities on site, decent indoor pool if possible, direct access to a sandy beach but most importantly a nice CLEAN park with friendly staff :) Thank you

Haggerston! Amazing for kids! They all love it!

Haggerston Castle, definitely. You can always go to Berwick for the day. They have black swans on the river.

haggerston is a drive to the nearest beach. We had a great time there but as a base. The activities on site were limited

I love Haggerston. It is a really nice park with lakes and ponies. However you do need a car there as to get to beaches and all the nice towns you have to drive out. Berwick is in Berwick which is a nice, interesting town and you can walk to the beach. However if I had to choose I would go for Haggerston. It's lovely around there, I'm sure you would have a great time.

We did Haggerston years ago and everyone enjoyed, we did do a lot of driving out to diff places though

I think you always find bad reviews for anywhere!
We go throughout the year and have friends who have a caravan there so their always up there in the summer and love it!
Would deffo prefer haggy to Berwick

We did both and I'd choose Haggerston for on site facilities but Berwick for the area and beaches so depends what you're looking for.

If you're going to be on-site all the time or have a car and are happy to drive for towns and beaches Haggerston has better on site facilities but if you want to open your caravan door and walk down to the beach then Berwick

Went to Haggerston years ago, I didn't like it, much preferred Devon Cliffs Haven and Hafan Y Mor Haven. The pool wasn't all that big and I recall some sort of issue with timing slots. I also though Berwick itself wasn't very interesting as a town - Alnwick and Morpeth very nice tho.

Haven't been to haggerston but been to Berwick a few times. I love it. Lovely town, next to lovely beaches. Great walks around the town walls. Staff were amazing (apart from last year in the pool but that was covid related!) Near to an aldi and loads of restaurants and takeaway.

We often go to Hagerston for the weekend as it isn't that far from us it's a big busy site but loads to do ponies, soft play, pool with a slide, seperate toddler pool etc. You would need to drive but there is loads within a fairly short distance Alnwick Castle/Gardens, Seahouses, Warkworth all with a visit

I've been to both, Haggerston has loads more activities and is the busiest of the two sites. Berwick is much quieter and smaller. Out of the two I prefer Berwick for me but Haggerston for the kids.

Thanks everyone, we would have liked beach access to a sandy beach but its not a big issue. A nice park with lots for the kids is better for us. We have a car and plan to have days out too. We are at Burnhams Haven 4 weeks before H.C so ita not our only Haven hol so can get some swimming in there too hopefully as the pool looks better :)
