Is it safe to hang pictures above a cot?

That's it, really.

Would you hang (framed) pictures above baby's cot? If not, and the wall space needed filling, what would you put up in that space?

I wouldn’t. Give the baby a few months and they will stand up in their cot and it won’t be long before anything hanging up is a game to reach. Once they can reach, it’s the a danger because before long they will get it off the wall.

You could do wall art in the style of the frescos in Modern Family. Have you seen those? 😉

No, I thought about it but kept having visions of the sharp corner hitting them on the head. I'd put up a poster or a wall hanging like a rainbow or garland.

I wouldn't put a framed picture above my own bed, so definitely wouldn't with a cot. It's not worth the risk.

Oh whoops sorry just realised you're talking about a framed picture. Mine isn't framed artwork.

I was too anxious to. The thought of something falling was too horrible!

Wall stickers or a painted mural could be used to fill the space if it needs it.
