Tickit rainbow architect set, thoughts?

Hi everyone. I posted this in toys, but
It is quite quiet over there so thought I would ask here too.

My wee boy will be 1 next month and i he is currently obsessed with his cheap Fisher price stacking cups. I thought the tickit architect set would be a good idea as a gift because it can be used for nesting as well as building.. Which he isn't really into yet. We have grapat rings, balls and bowls which he loves and at some point we were thinking about a large grimm's rainbow, but the tickit set has a rainbow. I am not forking out £££ for grimm'sor grapat stacking bowls or boxes.

I guess my questions are: whether anyone has this and can recommend it...or not; how close the colours are to grimm's or grapat; and whether it is compatible with or complements the grimm's and grapat toys. TIA

I can’t comment on this specific thing but we have bought other Tickit bits (reels, rings, flat ‘plates’) for building and the quality is really good.

Thanks for the info. Are the colours quite vivid or are they sort of pastel like? A friend of mine has the nuts and bolt screw things and she said they were great but the red wasn't really a vibrant red and they were a bit pastely. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I know that some of the other wooden toys are quite strong colours.

I think I will probaly go for it to be honest, quite pricey but given that it will be goodness knows how long before we are in other people's houses for playdates I do feel that this kiddo has done pretty well with the toys we have bought him already. They should have quite good longevity anyway I reckon as they can be use din so many ways.

I’d agree with your friend - they are slightly more pastley. I really like the tones but they won’t be a match for Grimms stuff.

Well as long as red is red and blue is blue lol. Not that kiddo will really care! It seems like such a cool set and at 110 ish for all 4 sets plus the boards it is great valie when you compare it to grimm's

Of course inwant the boards for me at the moment!

I have a Tikit rainbow and it’s very good, very bright. The last few Grimms bits I’ve bought have been crap.
