My children are 4 and 6. At the moment the majority of the day is consumed with arguments between them about anything and everything. My 4 year old is quite tactile but my 6 year old hates her touching/leaning on him. They like opposite types of games and get frustrated with each other not wanting to play their games. They’re competitive about everything (even racing to the toilet to do teeth).
I’m just totally worn out by it. It’s half term and over taken the week off work looking forward to not have to worry about home working and home schooling for a week. But these first few days have been worse than usual. I’ve planned a few things like walk to the woods with a hot chocolate stop, downloaded Pokemon go to find in a walk. But everything is spoilt by their constant arguing.
I’ve now told then for the rest of the afternoon in doing nothing with them because I’m fed up of breaking my back to entertain and play with them while they constantly call each other rude names, compete and argue.
I know everyone is struggling and likely things with them are harder because of lockdown boredom
And frustration.
One on one is lovely with both of them. However we can’t seem to do anything together that is enjoyable.
Dunno what I’m asking/wanting. Just a rant really.
