Baby always sick lying down

Hi everyone.
I have a 3 month old who I assume suffers from reflux. The GP is reluctant to try any medication as he is not losing weight, which is fine. I'm more concerned that each time he lays down for a nap time or bedtime he's being sick but it's just like water?
He is formula fed, no milk seems to come up it's just clear and soaks him so we have numerous outfit changes before I can actually settle him to sleep.
Has anyone else ever experienced this or have any tips on how I can prevent it? I try and keep him upright for at least 15 mins after each feed, this can happen sometimes hours after a feed. Thank you

I have a 10 week old and he’s exactly the same, clear sick that comes up at different times after feeding. I definitely understand what you mean about the changes of clothes! Sorry I’m not much help with any advice but thought I’d let you know you aren’t alone. He’s also formula fed and it doesn’t make him unhappy it just comes out when he lays down.

Are you able to tilt his cot at all? We have one of those newborn cots that attached to the side of our bed and you can change the height on each end. My niece had bad reflux and my SIL would slant the bed so that the head end was a bit higher, and it helped a bit. Might want to look into that and see if that helps? So he isn't totally flat on his back? Hope that makes sense!

Thanks guys. It's nice to know I'm not the only one!! I do have a cot that can be tilted so I will try that slightly and see if it makes any difference. Thank you. He doesn't seem distressed when it happens, it just falls out of his mouth. It's more distressing for him getting him changed all the time!!
Hope your little one is ok & it gets better for them soon!! Xx

The only thing that reduced our son’s reflux was anti reflux formula. It was a game changer.

He had gaviscon, infacol, gripe water, co-lactase drops, tilted mattress, held upright for what seemed like forever... none of it really made a difference.
