I've been wearing ds2 since he was 3months old. we started in a ring sling, then a moby wrap and i have jsut purchased a woven bebina wrap. I am currently trying to master the rucksack with my bebina. What back carries do you find the most comfiest? i dont seem to have much material left at the end so do a tibetan styley!

i never wore ds1 but he's started asking. he's 2. Should i get him used to the back carry so i can do both at once? whats the easiest position for 2?

for back carries, I just love love loved mei teis. Babyhawk or Toddlerhawk is a really nice brand.

For two at once, I'd have the 2 year old on your back in a mei-tei type, and then the tiny one vertically on your front (also mei tei or wilkinet or something?) but I can't quite imagine the logistics of tying both on, tbh...

i found a wrap-cross on the back the comfiest but was never happy with the squished boob thing . never perfected a rucksack carry, but i did find the one (can't remember name, is that tibetan maybe?) with a twist at the front (above boob level) was a good compromise. tbh while i lived in a wrap sling on the front i never really bothered with it on the back, prolly cos i didn't practice enough i guess. i could never get the support quite right - i think because i swapped my thicker wrap for a thinner, longer one, and it just wasn't as good as the one i orignially had the lack of much sleep/head support bothered me too. i'd end up stooping slightly to balance her head in the middle of my back, not exactly the carefree experience i demand of my slings

my failure to find a back carry i was happy with led me onto a kozy and later an ergo too, so i pretty much stopped using the wrap then as either of those was better for me.

i think one front one back is totally doable - i find i'm much better balanced carrying a rucksack as well as a baby - but i wouldn't want to be wrapping over the top of another baby iyswim. you could wrap the first to go on and mei tai the second. you'd have to work out who's most likely to want down first too. tbh if your ds1 has never been carried you may find he doesn't take kindly to being so confined for long periods (and i can't imagine going to the bother of tying on two just for a short trip, although less hassle if mei taied rather than wrapped).

sorry is waffle, hopefully some use
