Bottle teats and weaning

Another first time mum question from me. My baby is 7 months and formula fed. We use Tommy Tippee bottles with the "natural" teats. Do I automatically need to switch to number 3 teats now that he is 6months+?

Second question which is related... how do I transition him from bottles to sippy cup? I have tried letting him play with sippy cup but he hasn't got a clue yet! Should I be aiming to stop feeding milk in a bottle by 12 months?

Thank you.

Q1: No if it's still fine and he's not fussing about the flow.
Q2: You can try to make a transition from a bottle to a sippy cup but it may be too early for some children at 7 months old.Trial and error is best in this case,so be prepared to try different types of sippy cups, the ones with soft spout might be the best at the beginning as they resemble bottle teat so don't feel extremely different.
Don't worry to much about stopping the bottle completely at 12 months, some children take longer to let go of the bottle.
