Baby Napping Tips

Hello !
My 10 week old sleeps through the night without any problems but she cannot for the life of her nap in her own bed...
She will nap in the pram / in her bouncer / in our bed / on me etc just not in her bed
I don't mind and I know she is only little but it worries me because as a consequence she doesn't get nice long uninterrupted naps.
I have tried to get her to be sleepy or even sleeping and then put her to bed but nothing works.
Any tips?

That's amazing she sleeps through the night - I'd say don't worry about it too much. You don't want to upset her good night sleeping ability!
Neither of mine slept very well in their cots during that day. My eldest never did (only in the pram). But it didn't bother me too much as it meant I could always walk the dog, meet up with people etc rather than have to be home for nap time.
If it's really important to you...I guess just keep persisting, put something that smells like you in her cot, low lights etc, etc. Follow a strict routine (but I'm not sure it's worth the effort tbh)

She's only tiny, it will change with time. Just take advantage of the nights while they last.

Long naps don't tend to be needed til quite a lot older.

Accept defeat and work out something to do while she naps on you Grin

I’m half joking, I’m sure people will be along with foolproof advice but I never managed it with dd (her childminder did btw) and with retrospect I would have saved myself a lot of angst if I’d just gone with it.

I think napping in her pram or bouncer is really good and unless it’s causing you major issues I’d leave it alone if it’s working.

Sleeping through the night is pretty impressive - I suppose you can’t have everything!
Why does she need to nap in her own bed?
Mine still snoozed in a bouncer at that age - I think I put him in his own bed for naps at around 4 months when he eventually needed a quiet and dark space to get to sleep and that’s also when the naps got longer.
