10 week old upset

My 10 week old baby started sleeping for 9 hours straight through the night this week (yay!). Unfortunately this has coincided with a new bout of 2 hours of crying every day around early lunchtime. He was never like this before. I’m wondering if since he’s missing a feed through the night he’s really hungry the next day and not realising it’s hunger and getting upset (I try giving him the boob but he refuses). I’m exclusively breastfeeding. I’m thinking if it continues tomorrow I might set an alarm to wake him up through the night. Nappie and weight gain are great. Has anyone else had something similar?

He's not capable of that kind of thinking sorry.

Don't wake him, sleep while you can, it may all go to pot soon with the first sleep regression/ progression anyway

How often is he feeding in the day?

Feeding every 3 hours during the day

I'm not sure if it would work but I'd try feeding every 2.5 hours in the day.

My DNs were ff but did the exact same thing when they start sleeping for longer stretches at night. When they added in an extra bottle in the day, the crying stopped.

I'm amazed a breastfed baby of that age is sleeping that long through the night! Just keep feeding on demand. He will take what he needs as long as it is offered. If he's upset, make sure his nappy is clean, he's warm enough and he's fed. If he's still upset just comfort him as best you can. Sometimes babies cry. And that's ok. It took me a while to realise that. Maybe pop him in the pushchair or carrier and go for a walk? If he finds comfort in that? Personally I find the first year tough. I'm still bf my 14 month old. It will get easier! 💐
