Help me find a sling!

Hi everyone,

I wasn't sure where the best place to post was, so hope this is okay!

DS is due at the beginning of March, and I'd really like to try baby wearing. I'm looking for a sling I can have him in during the day, around the house, and outside. Something soft for cuddles but without buckles (I've got a bigger one already for longer walks/travel but the buckle is a bugger! Think it's the Ergo, I can't remember now.). I'd also prefer it not to be too fiddly with knots and tying - I'm not the most coordinated of people. 😂

I actually found one that looked amazing, but seem to have lost the link! So I know this wonderful piece of equipment does exist...but not where. It was about £40 I think. I'd prefer not spend more than £50 if possible.

Can anyone make any recommendations? It'd be really appreciated.

TIA!

How about this one from Aldi?

Avoid baby bjorn. No good for your shoulders or baby's hips.

Best in my opinion is close caboo for newborn and Rose and Rebellion for 4 months-18 months. My son basically was strapped to me 8-10 hours a day. I was not a hippy crunchy lentil mum by any stretch- formula fed, liked a routine, early bedtime but I loved my slings.

I would agree that the close caboo is good for newborns and wearing around the house.

Thanks everyone! Close Caboo! I think that might be the one I was looking at last time!

Fab suggestions, I'll watch some videos to make sure my useless uncoordinated hands will be happy, and then make a decision!

Thank you!

I know you don't want fiddly... But once you know how do use a stretchy wrap type sling it is easy and I really loved ours. Just being fabric it was comfortable and felt like it moulded round me and baby and could be adjusted in lots of ways. Do you have a sling library in your area?

Close caboo is my favourite after trying a few

Could not recommend the K-Tan highly enough!

Mamaruga zen sling. I know you said you didn’t want buckles but it’s super soft and buckles so it’s easy. The close caboo never fit right for me and I always worried baby was too loose or just not right. The zensling was a bloody godsend. It’s not massively well known. Check out whether your local sling library is doing online hire? And check eBay that’s where I got mine for £30

Close Caboo fits your criteria.

However we swapped it for an Ergobaby Embrace for DS2 (which does have buckled though) and I definitely prefer it. Perfect combo of easy to put on but soft and stretchy for a newborn.
