Please can you recommend any good moses basket? I was thinking about Clair de Lune or plastic one ( tommee tipped) but then I saw Chicco 4 in 1 Baby Hug Crib and not sure if it can be a good alternative. I won't need Clair de Lune moses basket in 6 month but Chicco can be used for quite a long time. Or am I wrong and it is better to have a proper moses basket and then buy something else afterwards? ❤️❤️❤️

I never used my Moses basket at all it was a waste of money. I had a silver cross sleepover pram that had a proper carrycot and stand and my son slept in that untill he was old enough to do in his cot. It was a shame as the moses basket was a gift but he just wouldn't settle in it the same as he did in the carrycot for the pram, it was definitely sturdier.

We do have a proper carrycot and I can buy a stand for it but I was not sure if it really works. Thanks a lot! I will give it a try.

We just use the carrycot and bought the stand for it. Definitely no point buying something else if you already have one that's certified for overnight sleep

Very few babies are short enough to stay in a Moses basket for 6 months and long before then they will be rolling and maybe even crawling so they aren’t normally safe for that long.

We just used the bassinet of the pram on a stand downstairs and I used a next to me upstairs. Neither of my children were fond of them (very common) and they were just used to store baby stuff in.

Another one who never had a moses basket. We had a crib, that lasted longer, but actually they spent more time in their cot.

I got mine for £29.99 from Aldi. My dd is 4.5 months and has only a couple of weeks left in it. Does the job.

I was given a Moses basket as a present when DS was born and my DS then stayed in it for about 6 weeks only as he was just too tall. He was very long when he was born to begin with. We used his cot until the 4 month regression hit where he moved into my bed. If you have a pram with the carry cot (I think that's what it's called?) use that and invest in a good next to me crib where you can use it months longer.

I bought a super cheap one from Asda when baby was about 2 weeks old as she wouldn’t sleep in anything else so it was kind of a desperation buy! She doesn’t sleep great in it but it’s probably the only thing she does sleep independently in. My advice would be don’t buy anything super expensive for sleep when they’re super little as they may refuse to ever sleep in it!

We were given a moses basket. Glad I didn't buy one because DS was only in it for six weeks.

Mine was from aldi. Baby nearly 11 weeks and still in it. It’s great for the day.
