Hi all

Please share your routine for your 12/13 month old babies, including wake time, meals, milk, naps and bedtime! I'm struggling with DD and her wake windows/nap times, and would appreciate seeing what others are doing around this age.

Many thanks!

7am - wake and breakfast
8.15 - milk
10am - sleep 45 min/1hour
12pm - lunch
2pm - sleep 1 hour
3.30pm - snack
5pm - bath
5.45/6pm - dinner
7.15pm - milk
7.30/7.45pm bedtime

This is pretty much her routine at 13 almost 14 months. Roughly 3 - 3.5 hours between naps in the day.

We were all over the place with sleep until we hired a sleep consultant. Best money we ever spent. Our routine is now:

7am Wake up, get ready, 5oz milk
8am Play time
9am Breakfast (porridge or toast usually)
10am Morning nap
11:30 Wake up, 5oz milk
12pm Play time or walk if it's not raining
1pm Lunch
2pm Afternoon nap
3:30pm Wake up, 5oz milk
4pm Play time
5pm Dinner time
6pm Start bedtime routine, 8oz milk
7pm Asleep

So the two nap times are 90 minutes each, but DD does usually wake 15-20 mins before that. She happily gurgles away in her cot now and doesn't cry. We were told it's important not to go in until the 90 minutes are up, else it will get earlier and earlier and we could end up back at square one. Obviously I would go in if she were ill or actually distressed, but she seems happy to stay in her cot now until it's time to get up. Previously she was having two 15 minute naps per day and not sleeping well at night either (we did Ferber method to remedy that). Following this routine has been life changing.

Oh yes and in between each timeslot on my comment, I should of said "watches Peppa Pig" 🙂

Hi everyone

Thank you so much for sharing your routines in such detail, I really appreciate it. Apologies for not responding sooner, DD has been off nursery unwell this week so I've been juggling her and work and trying not to fall asleep standing up because she's been so unsettled over night. Zzzzzzz.

I'm going to have a closer look at each of your routines and see if anything jumps out that I can do to improve DD's routine. Hopefully she'll get over this horrible cold and cough soon and get back to sleeping better at night and I can get a bit more on top of her nap and meal timings etc.

Once again, thank you all Flowers

Haha! We've not introduced Peppa yet. We've been watching Baby Club on repeat so DD could get familiar with other babies and people as she gets so upset when she sees anyone that isn't me or her dad Confused
