Bought a jumperoo and regretting it!

I bought a jumperoo for my baby and from a completely selfish POV, am already regretting it - for the sole reason that the sodding thing takes up so much space in our smallish lounge! How long do I have to live with it in my house until DS gets bored and I can sell it? Grin

My DS got too tall for it at about 10 months. I do agree they're hideous and take up masses of space, but you won't regret it. I hated the bloody thing when it arrived but I mourned it once he couldn't go in it anymore. It gave me time to drink a hot cup of tea, eat my dinner, clean the living room, and he bloody loved it. I can still recall every single song it plays, though... 😂

You'll miss the circle of neglect once it's outgrown!

Oh god the music Grin. All baby stuff is huge, garish and loud! Your little one will like it though.

"circle of neglect" GrinGrinGrin We also had a playpen - the square of neglect if you will.

Problem is once they can no longer be contained they, and their toys, spread into every corner of the house and you're treading on pieces of train track and lego on an hourly basis.

When he's mobile enough to get about by crawling and/or surfing furniture. Realistically the jumperoo sweet spot is about 5-8 months, after that it's a hit pointless.

You should be done with it by april/May?

Don't diss it though, you'll miss it once he's not so containable...

Sleepyquest · 31/01/2021 11:22

Our little one refused to be put in it at about 9 months. We sold it on Facebook for more than we bought it for so was winning all round.

Ooh do you know you can fold them away? I only realised this when I came to sell it Angry

This, absolutely this ^^ Yes it's huge, yes it's music is annoying and yes it gets in the way but you absolutely will miss it when they grow too big for it. Grin

I was aware, but can’t be bothered to do it every day TBH - I think you have to unclip all the metal bits and it’s just a PITA!

I saw a space saving jumperoo advertised, wish I’d seen this before I got the full sized one. However my daughter loves it! I put on music videos on YouTube and she jumps like crazy!
