How much formula does your 1 month old take?

Just that really!

My little boy has been taking 90ml at each feed (8 or 9 per day) since about a week old. He occasionally takes 100/110ml but then often throws the extra amount up!

Is it normal for them to stay at the same amount for ages?

He was 8ib 8 when born and 9ib 4 at 3 weeks old. Hasn't been weighed since then.

There’s a way to work out how much formula they need in 24 hours by their weight.

I think it’s 150-200ml per kilo of body weight in 24 hours. So for your babies weight he’ll need between 630 and 840ml in a 24 hour period - if he’s having that then I wouldn’t worry!

my 5 week old ds is taking 5 ounces per feed but has dropped now from 8 feeds per day to 6, sometimes 7. Every baby is different as long as they're gaining I wouldn't worry too much. My dd upped her milk intake quickly as a newborn but never took more than 7 ounces in 1 feed ever
