Possible UTI?

Recently my 20 month DD has started crying if she does a wee in the bath or without her nappy on. She gets really distressed.

She doesn't get upset at all if she does a wee with a nappy on.

She's not potty trained yet.

She gets so distressed in the bath by it (I'm not even convinced if she has actually done a wee as she's sitting in the water so I can't tell) that I've been wondering if it's stinging or something. But if it was wouldn't it hurt with every wee? It's also a bit of a difference cry to the one she does when she hurts herself normally.

Any ideas or experience?

I’d ask for a appointment with your GP - lots are doing phone ones at the moment.

My four year old had a UTI recently. He started avoiding going for a wee at all. Before we got the right antibiotics he was waking up hourly screaming in pain in the night, also had an intermittent fever and stomach pain. The UTI was confirmed by dropping off a urine sample to the GP so they could test, it took a few days to get the results and the right antibiotics.
