Nappies causing a reaction?

We use cloth nappies at home and reusable nappies at nursery.

We very rarely have any issues with nappy rash at home but frequently at nursery he gets a horrendous rash when he's done a poo. Its so painful he shakes and cries. I am very happy with his nursery and they know it is an issue so I don't think they are leaving him in a dirty nappy for too long.

I wonder if because we use reusables at home he's not so used to disposables and its causing a more extreme reaction than you would expect? Has anyone got any recommendations? I've just bought some eco disposables to see if that helps.

Oh your poor DS, hope you find something that works. We use mostly disposables and I do find a bit of variation between them, we got a bad reaction from one supermarket brand but not from others at same price point.

Also what wipes are you / they using? If you use something like cheeky wipes and water then he might not be used to baby wipes if they are used there and they can irritate sometimes.

Thanks @ToffeeAppleCaramel maybe I just need to try a few brands. I thought that about wipes but he seems fine as long as its just a wee so I'm not sure.

Are you sure they're changing him quick enough?
