Is my toddlers hair normal? (Pic)

DD 21 months has curly hair that I've barely ever tied up, I did today and her hair line at the back doesn't come down to the nape of her neck, it stops just under the top of her ears, with wispy hairs where it "should" end.

In real life it looks stranger than the picture. The fact I've only just noticed makes me wonder if it's fallen out recently.

Is this normal in toddlers?

It looks like that part just hasn't grown in fully yet.
My DD had lopsided hair for a while, only one side grew in and the other took so long to catch up!
You can see there is hair there though and it's very fine so hopefully it will thicken out soon

I’ve just looked at my 3 year olds hairline and although it’s a bit lower than yours it’s not to the nape of her neck in the way mine and it looks like some of it is baby hair that came in recently as it’s not as long as the rest of it. Strange that I’ve never noticed it before

I think I remember my DD hair being like that at that age, it didn't start to grow properly all over until she was about 5

My dd's hair is like this, a little less obvious because she is blonde. She has a wispy fringe rather than long hair at the front as well even though it's never been cut

Yes, my DD had a Mohawk till she was about 2, it just all grew down the middle of her head. Pleased to report she is now 6 with a gorgeous head of past the should lovely hair. It just takes a while to all catch up to where it should be.

My sons hair was the same when he was younger, and i remember showing his dad coz i was so concerned lol. It looked really weird! Now he is 7 years old and it is 'normal' and the hair has thickened up lol. I think your childs hair will eventually grow, just takes a bit of time x
