Totter and Tumble and cat?

Does anyone have a Totter and Tumble (or Munchkin and Bear) play mat and a feline friend? How has the mat held up? Would you recommend it? The website says to keep sharp clawed animals off it but realistically that's never going to happen...

Equally any experience of the cheap(er) foam tile type mats.. are they a better bet?

Thank you!

I have a totter and tumble mat and love it. One of our best baby purchases. I have two cats and have had zero problems. I was also worried about the fact they say avoid sharp claws but it's been absolutely fine.

Thanks @Pandemicpregnancy. Do the cats just not scratch it, or does it get scratched nbut still looks good?

Also (non cat related) - do you have the standard or the compact? And if it's the compact is it big enough?

Thank you! £140 is a lot so I'm a bit nervous tbh!

They just don't scratch it, they don't even really like walking on it that much. They are cats that scratch things (ie sofa, carpets) but the material must just not be very appealing to them. I imagine the cheaper foam mats would immediately get claw marks in them.

We have the standard but I think the compact would be plenty big enough too.

£140 is a lot but I think it's worth it. I love being able to lay on the floor with my LO when she does tummy time and sit and play with her without getting uncomfortable. I think I definitely get on the floor and get more involved in what she's doing because of it. The fact that it's wipe clean is also SO handy and it seems really durable so a good investment.

I'm also wondering about this as I really want to get one but so nervous about our cats. We've had the cheap garden foam mats before which have been scratched at so it's so hard to know what to do.

I have had a totter & tumble mat for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it and it’s easy to wipe clean but after time dirt settles into the little tiny grooves and it’s hard to clean. Would anyone have any ideas that would make cleaning it easier without destroying the print as I am having to rub hard to get between the tiny grooves. It is sore on my fingers and I am worried about rubbing hard over the print plus it’s a big area to cover. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you
