Clothes for slightly older babies

FTM here. Mumsnet has answered SO many of my questions, but I couldn't find a thread about this. My baby is currently in 0-3 month clothes and at the moment I am just dressing him in vest - sleepsuit - cardi/pramsuit if cold/outside.

I'm just wondering what people did when moving on to 3-6 month clothes. It will still likely be quite cold when he's in this size, so I guess still vest, and then do I carry on with sleep suits during the day or move on to legginga and tops all in ones etc. Are these practical? We've had so many gifts of tiny clothes but I'm assuming I'll actually need to buy the bigger ones myself.

I totally agree about fabric. Annoying to be able to go round and feel anything at the moment. The nicest cotton babygrows we have had which seem to wash well are also the most expensive (Jojo Maman Bebe and Joules gifts). Does anyone have any recommendations for joggers/tights/leggings that you think are great quality?

We have some lovely dungarees and vest/legging sets from m and s.

Definitely go for tights rather than socks, even for a boy! We just have supermarket ones and they are pretty good. Most of our vests and sleepsuits have come from asda or sainsburys. I actually don't like our jojo maman bebe sleepsuits they are pain to get on because the cuffs and feet are tight.

I like our m&s joggers. Definitely get something with a bit of stretch.

My baby is 4.5 months. She wears a sleepsuit at night with a sleeveless onesie underneath. During the day I change her into a long-sleeved onesie over the sleeveless one, plus socks and leggings, and a cardie if it's Baltic. I've done this since she was a newborn, pretty much.
