May baby clothing!

Hi all, I am having a baby in early May. I had my first DS in the depths of winter so he spent his early months in snuggly all in ones and vests, i know it should be obvious but I'm a bit confused about what I will need to dress this one in?!

Please can anyone who had a May baby advise what kind of clothes I need to get? Just short sleeved vests or long sleeved and leggings?!

Bit of a shame my son's clothes will all be the wrong size for the season I think 😕

Thank you!

My first DD was born end of July in a heat wave and my second was just born end of October. I kept most things from my first DD, obviously the little summer dresses didnt get much use! But even with my daughter born in the summer I still had little vests for her. If you have vests, leggins and Sleepsuits they will be fine for May. Just the thick coats and snow suits wont be useful! I remember my daughter just being in a vest/bodysuit when we were at home. Someone got me a little jacket for my first DD and I was like when am i going to use this!? But i did actually need it and i was glad i had it!

No advice but watching with interest as my son was born in late October and my second child is due this May so I've had similar wonderings to you OP! I think my plan at the moment is short sleeved vests?

My son was born may I just kept him in all in ones and vest with cardigans and blankets if going out anywhere with the amount of pee poo and spew they were handy to whip off and change if needed lol

I've had a baby in every season and bought short sleeved vests and babygros for them all. I added cardigans if it was cold and in hot weather they wore either a vest or babygro on its own.

May is always going to be unpredictable in the UK. I had a baby last May and it was really hot and he was mostly in short sleeved rompers. But we still had cold days where he was in a sleepsuit, and it was chilly overnight. Last year it was still difficult to get baby clothes on short notice though, its a bit easier now. I would say get 7-10 sleepsuits, same amount of short sleeve vests, 3 rompers, 1 cardigan and some socks. That's what I had on my list

DS was an April baby. He was in babygrows all the way through his first summer. There were times where that was downgraded to just a vest but the majority of the time he was fully covered
