Baby poop problems 😓

My 5.5 month old baby has been trying all day to go to the toilet and hasn't been able to go. He projectile vomited after his before-bed bottle and when me and my partner went to clean him up/change him we realised he actually had a poo stuck that he couldn't get out. We put him in a warm bath and he kept trying to go but nothing. Once we got him out the bath he was really stressed about it so we had to try and pull it out (sorry so gross!) We managed to help a little but had to eventually put him to bed as he was exhausted. Anyone else had this experience? What can I do if he's still the same in the morning? He's had a little water but hates it and a baby dose of lactulose. He's on anti reflux milk but has been for 2 months and never had this problem before 😓

A very old fashioned method is a drink of warm water with brown sugar in it. Obviously make sure the water is boiled cooled water. Bicycle the legs a bit as well.
My eldest was bf but had a problem occasionally and the water and brown sugar seemed to work. I’d also try another warm bath in the morning

@sproutsnbacon thanks I'll definitely try this if we're in the same situation in the morning. Will be buying in some prune purees too 😬

Orange juice can work as well. Hope you get it sorted tomorrow
