Nursery chair recommendation

Morning all!

I'm looking for recommendations for a chair for the nursery (not a nursing chair). Preferable something that rocks.

I know everyone suggests that IKEA one but it's got such a deep seat I struggle to get out of it normally, let along with a sleeping toddler in me.

DS is such a bad sleeper that I imagine I'll be spending a lot of time in it. Right now he's in our room sidecarred to the bed but we're moving him to his own room soon.

If he is used to cosleeping I would recommending just getting him a 3/4 double bed for his room. You can cuddle him to sleep and it’s really useful when they are ill or just unsettled and need to sleep with them.

He doesn't really co sleep, he has his own cot space and I can just reach over and give him a pat if needed. He's such a light sleeper that having him in the same bed just turns into a nightmare!
He goes to sleep mostly on his own and I have in the last couple of days put the side of the cot back on and he's doing fine with it

The top google image result on "feeding chair". I didn't breast feed and I have this chair with footstool in the nursery to give DS his bottle and rock him off to sleep as needed.

I’ve used the IKEA Poang chair for 3.5 years to breastfeed both of my DDs and would highly recommend it (despite it not being anything much to look at)

I have put 3 cushions across the back of the seat to bring my seating position forward and make it really comfortable. It works brilliantly.

BTW I know you said it’s not for nursing. But it’s been used for rocking (more of a deep bounce) them off to sleep too many MANY times, so thought I’d still recommend it with my adaptations.

Another one for the Poang. Honestly it's great. Otherwise a yoga ball if you need bouncing rather feeding.

I know you say you don’t want a ‘nursing’ chair, but I had a lovely nursing chair that was more of a glide back and forth than rocking. I used that long after breastfeeding ended! We’d sit in the chair together with a storybook and the gentle rocking would get them very dozy and sleepy.
